Erik and Taylor met when they were in high school. Apparently, she thought he was very cute, because her friends from classes back then say he was all she'd talk about. Apparently, he thought she was a real catch, because he basically did an extra year of high school going to all the school dances a year after he graduated. They were one grade year apart.

The day they met, they were both roaming down the cookie aisle at a Trader Joes in Chino Hills. Taylor and Erik both reached for the same box of cookies at the same time, and when her hand grazed his, Erik knew at that moment that Taylor would be his wife. LOL just kidding. They met at a party, this is just the story they like to tell people so it sounds more romantic.

The couple stood the test of time as Erik went off to college at UC Riverside, and Taylor, San Jose State University. Long distance was challenging, but they'd always find their way back to each other.

When Taylor finally moved back home after college, it was only for a few months. Erik was in dental school at USC and both were in grind mode. They kept their heads down, prioritizing each other and their future careers, knowing it would all eventually pay off.

Taylor is grateful to have a partner who supported her many moves across the country, following her dreams as a news reporter. It's been more than 13 years, but she still falls deeper in love with Erik every day. He has taught her a new kind of love that continues to change her perspective and gives her permission to "just be."

Erik feels so blessed to have a partner that stayed 10 toes down with him while he was in undergrad and dental school. The long distance kept him focused while working towards his goal of opening his own dental office. She has been his biggest supporter and the perfect partner. He couldn't imagine a life without her love.
